Landesmusikakademie Berlin

1995 founded on the initiative of the Landesmusikrat Berlin.The State Music Academy and the Children's and Youth Leisure CenterWuhlheide (FEZ-Berlin) form a non-profit operating company limited liability (100% subsidiary of the State of Berlin).Two representatives of the Senate Department for Education and Youth are on the Supervisory Board and sports, one representative each from the Senate Department for Science, Research and Culture, Senate Department for Finance, DistrictTreptow / Köpenick and the State Music Council in Berlin. The team of the Landesmusikakademie Berlin consists of management,deputy head, two education officers, one Responsible for public relations, a responsible forRentals to external partners, two employees in administration and a federal volunteer and interns.From 1996 to the present, the Berlin State Music Academy increased from 50 at more than 150 training and further education events per year, carried out by partners and in-house. Lecturers included Giora Feidmann, the Hilliard Ensemble, the Vogler Quartet, Dieter Schnebel,Vinko Globokar, Adriana Hölzsky, John Taylor, Jiggs Whigham, Martin Spangenberg, Nils Landgren, Malcolm Goldstein, Stefan Dohr, CarolaBauckholt. The academy supports work phases and concerts as an event location of ensembles from music school, school and music associations.The academy is a member of the "Working Group on Concerts and Music Theater for Children and young people "with Deutsche Oper Berlin, Jugendkulturservice, among others Berlin, Chamber Orchestra Unter Linden, Klingendes Museum e.V.Komische Oper Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin, Neuköllner Opera, ROC GmbH,Senate Department for Education, Youth and Sport, Senate Department for Science, research and culture, State Opera Unter Linden, FoundationBerliner Philharmoniker, Berlin University of the Arts. The academy has been the central issuing agency for instruments since summer 2004 for Berlin students.
